CORK PRODUCER JOINS ENVIRONMENTAL FOREST PROGRAMME

Cork producer, Corticeira Amorim has joined the WWF Forest Trade Iberian Network to undertake responoisble consumption of wood paper and cork throughout Portugal and Spain. The move involves all activities that undertake sustainable use of forests and timber.
Amorim is the first cork producer to become a member of the Forest Stewardship Council, actively operating to conserve forest use.
In total 8,400 hectares of cork oak forest have been certified under the FSC.
